I am in the process of producing a gauge 1 GWR 56XX tank engine in limited numbers as model in different stages and to different specifications. The model is based on number 6695 which is based at swanage, and has just re-entered service after attention.

The model is available in any stage from a set of drawings to a kit of materials and wheel castings to a set of fully machined parts which will produce a working loco and to which the platework can be assembled. The platework is avalable as a set of watercut sides and cab front and rear, but in the New Year 2008 will be replaced by super detailed etched sheets. The locomotive is initially powered by a single cylinder with slip eccentric Dee type valve gear. The boiler is of a standard design and will be filled by the now popular garden spray, dispensing with the need for hand pumps and associated plumbing.In the New Year 2008 I will be producing twin cylinder assemblies which can be purchased instead of the single cylinder version or as a replacement to the single cylinder. An electric version is also now available.
