My selection of tools is growing slowly as I see tools that are of a reasonable quality and good value.  The trouble these days is that there are so many cheap imported tools around it is difficult to tell the good from the bad.  I think the answer is to use as good as you can afford, using the best where finish or accuracy is important.  I learnt my lesson when a customer returned an adjustable reamer because it scratched the job.  I had to refund him, plus finish the bore using a top quality reamer.
